Our Story

Janeiro Support Services was founded in Melbourne with a simple belief: care should never feel rushed, impersonal or one-size-fits-all. Our founders spent years seeing how inconsistent support could wear people down — and they knew families across Victoria deserved better.

We began as a small, close-knit team supporting a handful of clients with personal care and domestic assistance. Word travelled quickly, not because of advertising, but because families told other families that our support workers turned up on time, listened carefully and treated every home with respect.

Today we support people with disability and older Australians right across Melbourne VIC — helping with daily living, community participation, respite and companionship. What has not changed is our approach: we take the time to understand each person’s goals, routines and preferences, and we build support around them rather than the other way around.

Who We Are

Our team brings together support workers, carers and coordinators who share a genuine commitment to the people they assist. Every team member is carefully screened, properly trained and matched to clients based on personality and needs — not just availability.
